Program Welcome! Preventive Medicine 2008 will look and feel different than any previous annual ACPM conference you have attended! In Austin, we will highlight cardiovascular health issues both in our scientific educational program and in our Heart Healthy Texas consumer-facing event on Saturday February 23rd. Each standard educational track—clinical preventive medicine, public health practice, quality improvement, prevention policy, and teaching preventive medicine—will feature at least one session highlighting cardiovascular health and prevention issues and the latest evidence from that track’s particular perspective. “Employed populations” is another sub-theme that will be featured this year. And of course the conference will continue to offer its outstanding and diverse array of programming across the usual spectrum of disease prevention and health promotion topics, with a greater emphasis than ever before on research, science, and the application of science in practice. So, stay tuned to this site as we update the agenda and the details of the 2008 Program take shape! Click for the final program (4 MB) Networking Lunch/Special Interest Round Tables
